YOI was created by Ishan Shivanand, a modern Indian monk,
researcher, and expert in meditation-based,
non-pharmaceutical interventions for mental health.
He developed YOI based on his studies of ancient Indian yogic texts
and his own experience with meditation and yogic practices.
